The Moulton Barn

Moulton barn, Grand Teton National Park. 85mm, handheld, 1/400 @ f11, ISO 800

This may be one of the most photographed locations in Grand Teton National Park.  The Moulton barn with the Teton range rising behind it has been photographed so many times yet I usually ignore it due to the crowds. Earlier this month, after finishing a sunrise shoot and drive out to look for wildlife, I noticed the parking lot was nearly empty despite the light on the mountains being stunning.  So I pulled over and took a few shots.  Two people were here, both photographers.  One is out of the frame near the barn to the left and the other was near me to my right.  I preferred a moderate telephoto lens to compress the scene but the light was the real star here, both on the barn and mountains.
