Back in the Park

Mount Haynes and the Madison River. Canon R5, 21 mm, handheld, 1/80 @ f16, ISO 800

I made my first photographic trip into Yellowstone for the 2021 summer season a few days ago. Much like last year, when I ended up going in only five times, my first stop was to photograph Mount Haynes reflected in the Madison River. The lifting fog and early morning light made for a beautiful scene that I simply couldn’t resist. Much like last summer though, I didn’t have much success finding other photo subjects and only shot 56 photos over two days in the park. In contrast, this week over four days out of the park I shot 4,500 images. But I do feel this one was quality over quantity.
